To care for your Shoeless Joe Ball Glove, it's important to position the hand as deep as possible inside the glove and play serious catch for about 30 minutes to get it "Field Ready." Always store the glove with a ball inside the pocket, secured with a rubber band or other elastic device, to help maintain the shape. When wearing the glove, ensure the hand and fingers are inserted as far as possible to help form the pocket and correctly close the glove when receiving a ball.

Regularly inspect the glove to ensure all laces are securely tied with a square knot, and tighten them two or three times a year to help maintain the pocket. It's not uncommon to have to replace laces after a couple of years of play.
